On Thursday, August 9, Professor Muhammad R. Abu-Layla, Professor Emeritus of Comparative Religion and Islamic Studies in English at Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt, engaged in a conversation with Hartford Seminary trustees, faculty and senior staff to discuss areas of mutual cooperation.

Dr. Abu-Layla and the Seminary representatives discussed the possibility of an exchange of students between the Seminary and Al-Azhar University. They also discussed the importance of interfaith dialogue.
