A group of Hartford Seminary faculty, students, Trustees and friends traveled through Iran from April 11-26 with the goals of gaining an understanding of the history and culture of Iran, engaging in interfaith dialogue and gaining familiarity with the Shi’ite Muslim world as the Seminary inaugurates the new Imam Ali Chair for Shi’a Studies.
The itinerary included time in Tehran, Kashan, Esfahan, Persepolis, Shiraz and the holy city of Mashhad.
