President’s Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge Gathering

Hartford Seminary is one of the organizers of the 5th Annual President’s Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge Gathering to be held Sept. 10-11 in Washington, DC.

The gathering, according to press materials, “offers an opportunity for students, staff, and administrators to share experiences, learn from experts, and meet Obama Administration officials who share a commitment to community service with an interfaith engagement component.”

Hartford Seminary will be among those sharing models of interfaith service and engagement to help other higher education institutions who are beginning programs in interfaith community service.  The program also provides a chance to “celebrate the work happening on campuses across the country to provide students with opportunities to develop lifelong skills in interfaith cooperation and a commitment to community service.”

Sessions will take place at Howard University.

The event is free and open to the public, but space is limited and registration closes on Aug. 27, 2015. For more information, visit this website.
