In preparation for the two week course on “The Arabian Nights” which he will give at the Seminary in January 2018, Professor Yahya Michot visited the tomb of Sir, and hajji, Richard Francis Burton (d. 1890), one of the most famous translators of this masterpiece of Arabic literature. Situated in the cemetery of St Mary Magdalen Roman Catholic Church in Mortlake (South of London, UK), this tomb is in the shape of an Arab tent and a window at the back enables one to view Burton’s coffin inside.
