Professor David D. Grafton Gives Paper at Christian-Muslim Conference in Scotland

Professor David D. Grafton was in Edinburgh, Scotland, this week for The Inaugural Conference of the Christian-Muslim Studies Network.

The Sept. 4-6 conference gathered scholars from around the world at the School of Divinity, University of Edinburgh to examine the topic Reframing Christian-Muslim Encounters: Theological and Philosophical Perspectives. The stated aim of the conference was to “invigorate the field by opening up new avenues for comparative study and mutual learning.”

Professor Grafton delivered a paper titled: Looking for the Essential Muslim: A Critique of Common Interfaith Engagement and a Proposal for Particular Intercommunal Christian-Muslim Relations from Below.
