Alum Spotlight: Rasheed Rabbi Presents Two Papers

Rasheed Rabbi, who earned an MA in Religious Studies in 2016 and a Graduate Certificate in Islamic Chaplaincy in 2018, recently presented two papers.

The first, “An Unexceptional Exception: A Case Study of Negotiating Mosque’s Identity Dynamics in Oklahoma,” was presented at the 113th Annual Meeting of the American Sociological Association, held August 11–14, 2018, in Philadelphia.

The second, “Evolution of Muslim Identity Dynamics in the Cyber Age: A Case Study of an America Imam and Islamic Center in Oklahoma,” was delivered at the 80th Annual Meeting of the Association for the Sociology of Religion. August 11-12, 2018, also in Philadelphia.
