Professor Miriam Therese Winter’s talk at the United Nations on March 14 has been moved to Yerevan Hall at the Armenian Center on Second Avenue, which allows for more people to attend.

This U.N. session will be shared with Dr. Azza Karam, who serves as the senior advisor on social and cultural development at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), where she coordinates UNFPA-wide outreach with faith-based partners and chairs the U.N. Inter-Agency Task Force on Religion and Development.

Professor Winter’s talk is titled, Transformative Spirituality: Living in and through the Spirit.

She describes her talk this way: “An emerging planetary reality demands a shift in consciousness to a more inclusive way of being in the world as individuals and as a species. What is required of us is a radical reorientation of behavior and beliefs, which can only happen when we opt wholeheartedly to live in and through the Spirit.”

The talk organizer is the Society of Catholic Medical Missionaries. Co-sponsors include the Sisters of Charity Federation, Salesian Missions, Proclade Internazionale Onlus, IBVM, Unanima International, Sisters of Notre Dame De Namur, Loretto at the U.N., Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary, and Vivat International.
