How can a text free a person? Professor Timur Yuskaev poses that question in an essay publishes in Maydan, an online publication of the Ali Vural Ak Center for Global Islamic Studies at George Mason University.

The subtitle of the article is “In Appreciation of the Qur’an’s Co-Translators,” and it looks at how “cultural translation” is a “translation of a text into life.”
