It’s been a busy fall for Professor Scott Thumma, who has spoken to the media about everything from megachurches to technology to church closings.
The Wall Street Journal cited Professor Thumma’s research about faith communities using technology in “Say Hallelujah and Pass the Remote,” an opinion piece by writer Joanne Kaufman.
The Journal Review newspaper in Indiana used data collected by the Hartford Institute for Religion Research, which Professor Thumma directs, in an article about a church closing, “Congregation Reflects on Closing of Local Church.”
And Christianity Today used research from Faith Communities Today, an ongoing series of research surveys and reports about congregational life, in an article about the reasons that tithes and offerings are about to drop dramatically titled “Here Come the Skinny Cows.”
Keep up the great work, Scott!
