Both Professor Najib George Awad and Interim Academic Dean David D. Grafton will present papers during a conference at Candler School of Theology in Atlanta on Oct. 10-12.
The conference on “The Limits of Justice: Ethics, Law, and Theology in Christian-Muslim Relations” is sponsored by the Christian-Muslim Studies Network, which “brings together scholars to examine the place of justice, law, and ethics in Christian-Muslim Relations.”
Dean Grafton will present a paper on Religious Authority versus Religious Power: Moving beyond ideological barriers towards religious ethics in Christian-Muslim relations.
Professor Awad will present a paper on The Protestants’ Presence and Role in the Land of Islam: Intellectual and Contextual Anatomy of a Co-Existence Case.
