Aida Mansoor among 30 ‘Women of Distinction’ in Hartford Magazine

It’s no surprise that Aida Mansoor, Interim Coordinator of the Islamic Chaplaincy Program, is featured in Hartford Magazine’s current issue as one of 30 “Women of Distinction” in the community. Aida brings her enthusiasm, knowledge, unflagging energy, and compassion to everything she does.

The issue salutes “30 exceptional women — from the fields of business, education, health care, arts, public service, philanthropy, religion and sports — each one of them a leader who makes a significant difference in the life of our community.”

Aida, who also works in Hartford Seminary’s admissions office as a recruiter, is a 2016 graduate of the Islamic Chaplaincy Program, the first of its kind in the country and the equivalent of a Master of Divinity.

In addition to her work at the Seminary, Aida serves on numerous boards and is the past president of the Muslim Coalition of Connecticut.

In the Hartford Magazine article, she describes Hartford Seminary as a place where “the focus is dialogue between faiths, bringing people of different faiths together and having that human connection, which is vital.”

Congratulations to Aida on this well-deserved recognition!
