Hartford Seminary, Trinity College to Co-Sponsor 2020 Chaplains Conference

Hartford Seminary and Trinity College will co-sponsor the National Association of College and University Chaplains (NACUC) Conference taking place in Hartford in February 2020.

The conference theme is “The Place & Purpose of Chaplaincy in Higher Education.” The presidents of both institutions — Joanne Berger-Sweeney of Trinity and Joel N. Lohr of Hartford Seminary — will give the opening plenary session.

Other plenary sessions will feature Cornel West, Nancy Fuchs-Kreimer, and Ingrid Mattson.

Other collaborating partners include Wesleyan University, Yale University, Amherst College, Williams College, and Howard University.

The majority of the conference will take place at the Connecticut Convention Center (100 Columbus Boulevard, Hartford), with visits to Trinity College and to Hartford Seminary.

Accommodations are available at the Hartford Marriott Downtown. Located in the Front Street District of Hartford, the Marriott Hartford Downtown overlooks the Connecticut River and is interconnected with the Connecticut Convention Center.
