President Joel N. Lohr Visiting Indonesia, Singapore

President Joel N. Lohr left on Thursday, Nov. 8, for a 10-day visit to Indonesia and Singapore to visit educational institutions and to meet with Hartford Seminary partners, friends, and alumni. Former Trustee Dr. Alwi Shihab helped shaped the itinerary and facilitate key meetings.

During his trip, President Lohr will visit Darunnajah Islamic Boarding School, Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University, Nahdlatul Ulama University of Indonesia, and Jakarta Theological Seminary.

Along the way, he will travel to Jawa Tengah Istiqlal Mosque, Satya Wacana Christian University, and Muhammadiyah University in Yogyakarta, and meet with representatives from the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, the Wahid Institute, and the Indonesian Consortium for Religious Studies, among other institutions. He will also have a meeting with the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia and give several public lectures.

While in the region, he will visit Singapore to meet with partners there.
