Timur Yuskaev, Associate Professor of Contemporary Islam, will be the Marsico Visiting Scholar at the University of Denver this week.

While there, Professor Yuskaev will give a lecture titled “The Qur’an as an American Scripture,” which relates to his book, Speaking Qur’an: An American Scripture.

The lecture will take place Thursday, March 5, in Sturm Hall 286, with a reception at 4 p.m. and the talk at 4:30 p.m. It is organized by the Department of Religious Studies, supported by the Marsico Visiting Scholar Program, and co-sponsored by the Center for Middle East Studies & the DU-Iliff Joint Doctoral Program.
