President Joel N. Lohr to Participate in Interfaith Education Symposium

President Joel N. Lohr will be part of a virtual symposium on Typologies of Interfaith Education funded by the Luce Foundation and hosted jointly by the Martin Marty Center for the Public Understanding of Religion at the University of Chicago Divinity School and Interfaith Youth Core.

President Lohr will be one of five renowned biblical scholars reflecting on “Biblical Scholarship: Tasks and Challenges” in the second of five webinars that make up the symposium. The Biblical Scholarship panel will take place online from 5-6:30 p.m. EST, Thursday, Jan. 14.

In addition to President Lohr, speakers on the panel include:

  • Richard Newton, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Religious Studies at the University of Alabama
  • Adele Reinhartz, Ph.D., Professor in the Department of Classics and Religious Studies, University of Ottawa
  • Ross Wagner, Ph.D., Associate Professor of New Testament, Duke Divinity School
  • Erin Walsh, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, University of Chicago Divinity School
