Tuesday’s program on college and university chaplaincy will feature Nisa Muhammad, Assistant Dean of Religious Life at Howard University, and Yasin Ahmed, Chaplain at Cornell University. Both have studied at Hartford Seminary.

Chaplain Nisa Muhammad serves in the Office of the Dean of the Chapel of Howard University, Washington, D.C. Her responsibilities include religious programming for the various needs of the campus, personal enrichment classes on Islamic tradition, counseling and advising students, faculty and staff, and offering Muslim worship and devotion services.
Chaplain Yasin Ahmed serves as the first Muslim chaplain at Cornell University. Prior to his appointment, he served as a chaplain at Trinity College, CT, Choate-Rosemary Hall, a private secondary school in Connecticut and at RWJ Hospital.
