WLI is an experience-based certificate program that enables participants to develop and strengthen leadership skills while exploring a feminist perspective in religion and society. Led by Professor Miriam Therese Winter, WLI meets once a month from September through May. In seminars that take place on
Saturday morning and afternoon, participants hone leadership skills rooted in a feminist perspective that is justice-based, globally oriented, attentive to diversity, and ritually expressed. The outcome is an embodied spirituality grounded in the very real world of our personal and public lives.
Core to the program is a guided analysis of content relative to current realities, personal and group reflection on experience, informative and evocative reading, deepening a sense of community, and integrating rituals and prayer.
Essential elements of the program are:
• completion of the eight monthly seminars
• small group participation and application
• a cross-cultural immersion experience
• a project in leadership

WLI meets once a month from September through May. The eight seminars are scheduled on Saturdays between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. with a two-hour break from noon to 2:00 p.m. The program will take place online via Zoom.

Application Deadline: September 1, 2021. Enrollment is limited to 24 participants.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
There are no academic prerequisites for admission to the program. Required of all participants are an openness to a feminist perspective in religion and society and a willingness to honor diverse points of view.
PROGRAM COST
The cost of the Women’s Leadership Institute is $575. The graduation fee is $65.
NOTE: On your application, you will be asked to provide the email of one reference and to submit a $40 application fee.
