Hartford Seminary is a member of the Hartford Consortium for Higher Education (HCHE).

Other members include: Capital Community College, Central Connecticut State University, Goodwin College, Manchester Community College, St. Thomas Seminary, Trinity College, UCONN – Hartford, University of Hartford and University of Saint Joseph. There are two affiliate members: Connecticut Public/WNPR/CPTV and TheaterWorks.

Since 1972, HCHE has been concerned with and committed to addressing issues of educational equity, access to higher education, improved post-secondary outcomes, transition to college and degree completion. HCHE fosters collaboration between member institutions, the community and other stakeholders to offer solutions for the challenges of higher education in Connecticut.
