Asian Religions

The Spirituality and Practices of Asian Religions – June 5-10, 2017

Join us for a special opportunity to study with five different experts on Asian religions. This course introduces students to religious life and spirituality throughout Asia, with a focus on daily practices. The class meets from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with a field trip on Saturday.

Each instructor is a specialist in one tradition of Korean, Chinese or Japanese religions and will introduce the class to not only scholarly readings but also to material objects, images, videos.  Instructors will lead students in examples of performance or practice to deepen understanding. Tuition for this course covers a visit to the Shinnyo-En Temple in White Plains, NY.
