We could offer many examples of programs and international partnerships that are part of President Emerita Heidi Hadsell’s legacy. Perhaps the program that most embodies President Emerita Hadsell’s vision is the International Peacemaking Program she established in 2004, now the MA in International Peacebuilding.

Today more than 50 students from around the world have graduated from the program and returned home to put their new skills and knowledge into practice. As part of our recent long-range planning, we have committed to expanding this scholarship program and to establishing permanent support for it.

President Emerita Hadsell’s retirement in 2018 led the Board of Trustees to support the Heidi Hadsell Scholarship for International Peacemaking (now Peacebuilding) as a tribute to her enduring legacy at Hartford Seminary.
